New Instruments to Redding!

In mid-December, Classics for Kids delivered 10 beautiful new violins, violas and cellos to the Redding, California schools. The Buckeye School for the Arts and the Redding School for the Arts were the recipients of this instrument grant, which was made possible by the generous people of Redding, local champion and CFKF President Emeritus Judy Salter. Also, in April 2011, Judy Salter also presented a benefit performance at the McConnell Foundation headquarters, featuring North State Symphony director Kyle Wylie Pickett, regional harp superstar Candace LiVolti, and Michael Reynolds, along with talented students from the Redding and Buckeye Schools. Proceeds from this benefit will purchase many mare instruments for these great programs.

2011 Grant Applications

Classics For Kids Foundation is pleased to announce our 2011 matching instrument grant program. If your school or music organization is in need of quality stringed instruments, we can help.  

Our donors continue to be generous, supporting our matching instrument grants to public and community music schools, youth orchestras and other music organizations involving young string players across the country.  We look forward to hearing about your program and encourage you to apply, so that your young musicians have the opportunity to learn and grow with beautiful new stringed instruments.
